I create my latex skins from a high-grade natural liquid latex, produced in limited quantities and selected for its exceptional clarity and translucency.
These qualities are fundamental to my ongoing material research, allowing me to transform liquid latex into thin, skin-like surfaces while retaining the distinctive tactile qualities of natural rubber.
Each latex skin is developed and handcrafted in my studio through a process of layering, surface manipulation and, where required, reinforcement. The resulting materials range from soft, flexible membranes to structured, self-supporting skins, forming the basis for wearable works, vessels and sculptural objects.

Natural latex is a sensitive material and should be handled with care. Keep away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, oils, solvents, metals and sharp or abrasive surfaces.
1. Cleaning
Gently hand-rinse or wipe with lukewarm water using a small amount of latex-safe cleaner or mild, unscented soap.
Do not scrub or wring — lightly wipe the surface and pat dry with a soft towel.
Allow to air dry completely, away from direct sunlight and heat.
2. Care & Polishing
Once dry, apply silicone-based latex care or polish to prevent sticking and maintain the surface finish.
Use latex care rather than talcum powder for ongoing care, as minerals present in some powders may gradually affect natural latex. These handmade latex skins differ from conventional commercial latex sheeting and should be cared for accordingly.
Never use oils, alcohol, solvents or petroleum-based products — these can damage natural latex.
Your piece will arrive cleaned of talcum powder and prepared with latex care.
3. Storage
Store in a cool, dark and dry place, either laid flat or, where appropriate, on a padded hanger.
Keep away from sunlight, excessive heat and metals, particularly copper and brass, which may cause discolouration.
Avoid sharp objects and rough or abrasive surfaces that could scratch or damage the latex skin.
Avoid folding or compressing structured works in ways that may distort their form.
4. Handmade Latex Skins
Each latex skin is individually handcrafted, and slight variations in translucency, tone, texture and surface are inherent to the process.
Natural latex will gradually age over time. Appropriate care and storage will help preserve the material and its appearance for as long as possible.
For complete care and preservation information, please refer to the Latex Care & Preservation guide.
