Translucent snake-skin natural latex
Wearable work

Long Skin Dress I is part of Janine Grosche’s ongoing OMEN series and material research into translucent latex skins. Developed from natural liquid latex, the thin, flexible skin is formed into a long, tailored silhouette that closely follows the contours of the body.

The work explores the relationship between skin, garment and sculptural material, using translucency, surface and the extended silhouette to shift the boundary between the body and what surrounds it.
