A series of sculpted body casts handmade from natural liquid latex as part of Janine Grosche’s ongoing material research for PATH. Different constructions explore translucency, structure and surface, with some variations incorporating embedded hair into the latex skin. The studies investigate how a thin liquid material can become a self-supporting object while retaining the qualities of a membrane or second skin.
